What are your thoughts about the works of Jack London?
I've never read any of his works, and I wanted to reach a general "essence" what this author is.
Something kind of cool about Jack London that not many people know is that he wrote science fiction. Some of their stories science fiction are actually quite good, too. Interestingly, in relation to their European contemporaries, too, like HG Wells and such. Try "The science fiction of Jack London "by Jack London, edited by James Bankes and published by Carol Publishing Group in 1993. He also wrote horror stories and more "fantastic" stories, which are also in that particular book. There is another called "Fantastic Tales" or "Strange Fragments" containing more horror stories. If you like any of these genres, these stories can be a good way of presenting to this author. Of course, his most famous works are large and --- although personally I really hated his racist representation of the former owner of Native American White Fang. But maybe that's just me? About all, however, Jack London was a naturalist, with a healthy respect for nature that he mostly wrote about man against nature and nature --- animals. Much. Wittness "To light a fire." I hope that helps ...
